Alleys Pendant: Hand-Inked Tyvek Paper in Gray and Light Purple

Inspired by narrow city alleys, this sculptural pendant combines laser-cut layers of Tyvek paper with sewn bookbinding techniques. Its stacked forms bring together urban geometry and organic texture, creating a landscape for the neckline and a reminder to occasionally follow unmapped pathways.

The Tyvek Alleys form came first, informing the CAD design later explored in metal and 3D-printed plastic. This version carries that original approach through layered material and stitched construction.

Hand-applied alcohol inks in soft gray and light purple highlight the layered structure. Each pendant is stacked by hand and sewn together with silk thread using traditional bookbinding techniques.

Lightweight, water-resistant, and tear-resistant, the pendant offers the appearance of layered book pages with the resilience of Tyvek. Its wide form makes a bold statement without a heavy feel.

Simple stainless steel wire loops connect the pendant to an 18-inch silicone cord finished with a solid sterling silver clasp. Handcrafted in small studio batches, each piece features individual variations in its hand-inked finish and hand-bound construction.
