Rippling water along the shore inspired the curves of this pendant. Its sculptural form brings together 3D printing & hand-applied blue alcohol inks, recalling the patterns created where water meets land.
Each pendant is individually hand-inked, with subtle variations in the depth and pattern of color, then finished with a clear gloss spray coat. The lightweight plastic form hangs from an 18-inch stainless steel chain.
This design belongs to an earlier chapter of my studio practice and is unlikely to be made again.
